Expansion cardsThe new expansion cards from Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems will enable MADI and EtherSound input and output connectivity. The MY16-MD64 card adds 16 channels to Yamaha professional audio devices that accept mini-YGDAI expansion. By adding as many as three MY16-EX expansion cards to the MY16-MD64 card, users can increase MADI channel and EtherSound connectivity capacity up to 64 channels. The MY16-MD64 card provides redundancy with automatic switching from optical to coaxial input and outputs in case of accidental disconnection. The cards also communicate with devices from other manufacturers. For more information, see contact Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems at Booth #318, or contact the company at 714-522-9011 or www.yamahaca.com.
Digital recording microphoneHHB responded to broadcaster requests by expanding its FlashMic Digital Recording Microphone range with the DRM85-LI (shown) and the DRM85-CLI. The new models are line-input equipped versions of the DRM85 omni-directional and DRM85-C cardioid FlashMics, which allow users to record feeds. Both new mics feature a bantam TT jack input on the base of the body. An XLR-to-bantam jack cable is included; when connected, it switches out the microphone signal and records only the line-input signal.
