Emergency Tire Repair Products Jacksonville Beach FL

A flat tire at a jobsite is no fun. Thinner, less robust utility trailer tires are especially vulnerable. Tow vehicles routinely throw objects into the path of trailers, and when trailers veer toward a road's shoulder, they encounter all kinds of puncture-ready debris.

A flat tire at a jobsite is no fun. Thinner, less robust utility trailer tires are especially vulnerable. Tow vehicles routinely throw objects into the path of trailers, and when trailers veer toward a road's shoulder, they encounter all kinds of puncture-ready debris.

Accessories Marketing Inc., the maker of Slime emergency tire repair products familiar to bicyclists, now offers a way to prevent flats in trailer tires. Users can pre-load tubeless trailer tires with Slime Tire Sealant, a viscous, nondrying liquid containing fibers that act like platelets in blood. When a puncture occurs, the escaping air forces the fibers into the opening, where they congeal to form a durable plug.

The nontoxic, nonaerosol sealant can temporarily heal multiple punctures at a time and seal holes up to one-quarter inch. After a tire is refilled, it's ready for normal use until a permanent repair is made, which the manufacturer recommends for safety and is required to restore most tire warranties.

The sealant fills through a tire's air valve, and it remains active in a tire for up to two years. It is available in 16-ounce squeeze bottles for onboard emergency kits, one-gallon and five-gallon containers, and 55-gallon drums. A Smart Repair Kit is also available that includes sealant, a12-volt air compressor, and a tire-pressure gauge. 888-457-5463. www.slime.com .
