How to Prepare for Spider Vein Treatment Jacksonville FL

You first saw it on your leg in early summer. You did not really think too much of it, and actually thought it was more of a scratch. Yes, it was a highly irregular scratch, but it must have been a scratch just the same, right? Wrong. In actuality, it (now discovered to be a vein) started to ache, and became inflamed to such a point that it required spider vein treatment.

How to Prepare for Spider Vein Treatment

You first saw it on your leg in early summer. You did not really think too much of it, and actually thought it was more of a scratch. Yes, it was a highly irregular scratch, but it must have been a scratch just the same, right? Wrong.

In actuality, it (now discovered to be a vein) started to ache, and became inflamed to such a point that it required spider vein treatment. You were hesitant about getting spider vein treatment, but when you found out how effective it was you decided you might as well give it a try.

Such is a scenario that hundreds of people undertake on a regular basis. Spider vein treatment is usually administered in the form of sclerotherapy, which is a series of medicinal injections intended to collapse the vein. However, a more problematic vein might require laser spider vein treatment.

The treatment itself is very straightforward and done in a dermatologist's office more often than not. The patient will be able to return to regular activity (as long as it is not too strenuous) immediately following each session. The sessions last, on average, about an hour at a time, and are spaced out over a period of weeks or months.

When it comes to preparing for treatment, the patient should make sure that he or she is wearing comfortable clothing, and has not eaten immediately before the procedure. Other than that, no specific preparation is needed, except to make sure that the patient goes in relaxed, and with a positive attitude!
